Region 2 Scholarship Award
2007 Spring PASR Region 2 Scholarship
is awarded
to a deserving student from the Region 2 Area
Sophia Louise Guzowski, Alvernia College
Region
2 Educational Support Scholarship was awarded to Sophia Louise Guzowski, a graduate of Oley Valley High School
in Berks County. Sophia is currently a junior in the Secondary Education program at Alvernia College in
Reading, PA where she is majoring in English.
Sophia
attended the Region 2 fall meeting with the chair of the Education Department of Alvernia College, Dr. William Harst. Dr.
Harst is the retired Superintendent of the Exeter Township School District in Berks County and a member of Berks Chapter PASR and PASR.

2006 Fall PASR Region 2 Scholarship
is awarded
to a deserving student from the Region 2
Area
Joan Glass, Educational
Support Chair, read the citation awarded to the Region 2 Scholarship winner, Sonia Bender, an education major at Cedar Crest College, who was presented with a $750 check by Nancy Mendsen.

2005 Spring PASR Region 2 Scholarship
is awarded
to a deserving student from the Region 2 Area
Educational
Support Scholarship was awarded to Kaitlyn Celeste, a junior at De Sales University, who is majoring in elementary and Special
Education. Kaitlyn
has a 3.6 grade point average. She serves as captain of the Women’s Varsity Soccer Team, Volunteers in childcare activities,
numerous camps and after-school programs as a tutor.
Kaitlyn
is a student who turned to teaching because of the positive relationships she developed with teachers during her years as
a student in the classroom. Kaitlyn is a twenty-one year old Asian American who was adopted when she was 7 months
old from Seoul, Korea She lives with her
parents Richard and Nancy, and has two other siblings. Receiving this scholarship, will help finance her college education
for which she will be responsible after graduation.

Joan Glass presented the PASR Region 2 Educational Support Scholarship
Award to Danielle Hillenbrand, a junior at Cedar Crest College.
Danielle is majoring in Elementary Education. The Award was presented
on November 5, 2004 at the PASR Regional 2 Fall meeting which was held at the Meadows in Hellertown.
