Representatives of the Carbon Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees presented the Carbon County Commissioners with a mock check for $975,844. The amount is the total monetary value of the volunteer services to the county in 2006. Sixty-eight percent of Carbon PASR members volunteered a total of nearly 56,000 hours in community service last year.
